Review: I am extremely frustrated with The Joint’s cancellation process. A few weeks ago, a representative contacted me to ask if I planned to renew my membership. I clearly informed them that my husband and I would not be renewing. At no point during this conversation was I told that cancellations had to be done in person. To make matters worse, I was charged $79, and the representative told me that no refund could be issued because the charge was processed on the 12th.

Here’s my issue: they accepted my enrollment and payments over the phone for both my husband and me, but now I can’t cancel either membership without going in person. How does that make sense? Now, I’m being told I need to wait for a manager to process a refund. I plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Additionally, I am canceling my membership because one of the doctors actually made my back pain worse, and it took over a month for me to feel better. If you decide to join make sure the doctor that’s assisting you actually helps your situation and make sure you prepare to come in person to cancel your membership. This is the Atlanta location on Glenwood.
